Leo Burnett Chooses Process Director to Enhance Business Processes

Dynamic Workflows, Electronic Signatures and Centralized Administration Were Key Criteria

San Diego, CA – September 8, 2010 – BP Logix, developer of BPM software that accelerates time-to-value, today announced that Leo Burnett, a HumanKind communications company, has selected Process Director to automate its business processes. With company-wide initiatives that embraced digital workflow, electronic routing/client approval at multiple levels and the need to fully automate its project estimate procedure, Leo Burnett’s Agency Technology Solutions Group sought a web-based solution that could be easily mastered by business users. With 1,500 U.S.-based employees working on behalf of some of the world's leading marketers including P&G, McDonald's, Kellogg’s, and General Motors, Leo Burnett selected BP Logix Process Director to leverage its functionality across multiple brands, sub brands and categories across its U.S. operations.

Madhu Kolavennu, Associate Director of Client Solutions and Bill Hayes, Client Solutions Analyst of Leo Burnett, work hand-in-hand to identify and deploy technologies to address the requirements of Leo Burnett’s business. Kolavennu and Hayes identified a need to automate the manual processes associated with Leo Burnett’s project estimating procedures. “We need to route estimates for the work that every client requests from us - and for every brand and sub-brand. All estimates we create on behalf of clients must go through a process,” Hayes commented. “Additionally, we need to be able to update estimates along the way and to set up rules based on brand and dollar amount – and to control the process,” Kolavennu remarked.

Kolavennu and Hayes started with preliminary field market research including Google searches – then spoke to Gartner. “As we looked at different tools we knew we wanted something that was dynamic, could handle complex rules yet be simple to administer. Once we had a conversation with BP Logix regarding functionality and cost, we quickly determined that Process Director was the strongest product to meet both our short and long term needs,” Kolavennu stated.
